Note: This is for
older CD versions of Boards by the Numbers. The
program is no longer avaiable on CD.
Problem
1:
Error
while checking Disk:
This usually occurs when a copy of the Boards
by the Numbers CD is used. Boards by the Numbers requires
the ORIGINAL DISC to be inserted into the CDROM that
you installed it from whenever the program is used. If
you receive this error and you are using the original
disk, follow these instructions (Click Here):
Problem
2: I
can not use the written exams. When I try to
use the written exams, the program just goes away and
I am back to the desktop. I have to start the
program again and the same thing happens when ever
I try the exams.This
is caused by an improper installation of a needed system
file (mshflxgd.ocx). You need to register the
file manually.
Note: This problem and the solution
is for older versions that ran on Windows 98.
Solution:
- Click
Start - Run
- Type
in regsvr32
C:\windows\system\mshflxqd.ocx in
the text box of the RUN dialog box.
Tip!!! Highlight
the yellow text above and hit the ctrl key and the
C key at the same time (ctrl+C). This will
copy the highlighted text to your clip board. Then
put your cursor in the RUN text box and hit (ctrl+V). This
will paste the exact highlighted text into the RUN
text box.
- Click
OK
- You
should receive a message stating that the DllRegister
Server succeeded.
- Click
OK. Now try the written exam section again.
- If
the register does not succeed or if you are still
having problems, contact support.
