Instructions:
- Please print out this page then read all of
the steps slowly and carefully before beginning the installation process.
DO NOT start until you have read all
of the instruction. Windows 7 requires several added steps that need
to be completed in a precise order and correctly.
- With
Windows 7, you must first download and install the required WinHlp32.exe
file from the Microsoft Web site. You
can download either of two files, Windows6.1-KB917607-x64.msu or Windows6.1-KB917607-x86.msu.
Choose the download based on your operating system. To
find out which operating system your computer is running
-
Click Start, type system in the Start Search box, and then click
system in the Programs list.
- The
operating system appears as follows:
•
For a 64-bit version operating system: 64-bit Operating System
appears for the System type under System.
• For a 32-bit version operating system: 32-bit Operating
System appears for the System type under System.
Note
If you just purchased a new Windows 7 computer, it will probably
be a 64 bit operating system. If you upgraded from Vista, you
might have a 32 bit operating system. Downloading
the file will install WinHelp for Windows 7.
Note:
This download is available to customers running genuine Microsoft Windows.
You will be required to run Windows validation. Windows Windows 7 users
must pass Microsoft Genuine validation requirements before you can download
the file. Please read all the information and follow their instruction
slowly and carefully.
